Huge numbers take part in the clean up in the twin towns

The huge number of people who got involved in the clean up on Saturday (9 April) in Ballybofey, Stranorlar and surrounding areas was testament to the wonderful community spirit in the twin towns.  It was a great community response with over 300 people taking part and the results are there for everyone to see.

The B&S Tidy Towns and B.A.S.I.C.C. have done trojan work over the last number of years and they are keen that this work will continue over the year and into the future.   The groups are aware that keeping the towns and surrounding area clean includes keeping litter under control, but also addressing issues like the upkeep of buildings, open spaces and the river frontage and they are asking everyone to play their part.

The B&S Tidy Towns and B.A.S.I.C.C. will be holding a meeting on Wednesday 20th April at 7.30pm in the BASE Office, Stranorlar and all are welcome to attend.
